Smith Street Diner. Not just for locals.

I had a difficult time deciding what to order during my first trip to Smith Street Diner in Greensboro, NC.  The diner serves breakfast all day long on Saturday and I was tempted to order some buttermilk pancakes.  After careful review of the menu, the philly cheese steak seemed to be the best choice for a late lunch.  I do not think that I would have been disappointed with either selection.  My oldest son ordered the triple stack of pancakes with grits and could not eat all of it.  The oldest son always cleans his plate, but the super huge pancakes defeated him.   He has already decided to order just two during our next visit.

As mentioned in a previous post, I do not believe that one cannot have too much dressing, toppings…etc.   I am hesitant to order philly cheese steak because I prefer a lot of cheese and more than sufficient mayo.  The cook a Smith Street must be a mind reader.  My order was made exactly the way I like it with a large side of fries covered my plate.

I did get a chance to sample some of the remaining pancake and had to refrain from cleaning my sons plate.  The decision will be more difficult during our next visit.
