Shucks!!!

4 August 2010 in Delicious!

Grilling corn on the cob is much easier than most people think.  Very little preparation is required.

First, clean that corn.  Cut off excess silk hanging from the end and remove loose husk. This step is not necessary, but you will want to do it because excess silk and husk will burn.

Completely submerse all of the corn you will be cooking under water. This will provide extra moisture for cooking. Let the ears of corn soak for at least am hour prior to cooking.

Place the corn in their husks on the hot grill.  Turn the corn occasionally, until the husks are charred on all sides, about 15 to 20 minutes.

I like to strip an area of the corn after it’s been on the grill for about 15 min and add butter.

Be careful removing the husks.  Like a hot potato, the corn retains heat and will burn your hands.
